Scheduling and Workforce Planning Manager

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimising workforce efficiency? Goodwin is looking for a Scheduling and Workforce Planning Manager to join our Home Care team. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure that our workforce is effectively utilised, aligned with business demands, and delivering outstanding service to our clients.

This is a full-time fixed term role till August 2025, with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Forecasting: Analyse data to predict staffing needs and adjust plans as business demands evolve.
  • Scheduling Management: Develop and manage employee schedules to meet operational needs while balancing budget, preferences, and legal requirements.
  • Optimisation: Identify opportunities to reduce costs, maximise productivity, and enhance workforce utilisation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, HR, and People teams to align workforce planning with operational goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure all scheduling practices meet labour law requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of schedulers to foster growth, performance, and innovation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, operations management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or resource management in a dynamic environment.
  • Skills: Expertise in workforce management tools, advanced Excel, and data visualisation platforms.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead, mentor, and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of labour laws, compliance, and best practices in workforce management.
