CDC Construction Group has been constructing a variety of residential, commercial and childcare centres across Melbourne for over 35 years. We're proud of our loyal team, family friendly culture and reputation for delivering on time, and on budget.
More recently, we have been working on turnkey childcare builds, focusing on all aspects of design and construction. With multiple builds in progress around Melbourne, we now have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Site Manager to take charge of our childcare builds.
The Role
You will manage 2-3 sites at a time, working with trades to ensure that forecasts, scheduling of works and time frames are met.
You'll work across Melbourne Monday to Friday, checking in at our office in Airport West 2-3 times per week. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy the freedom of running your own day to day schedule and appreciate the autonomy to get out and do what you have to do.
On a typical day you will be:
- Liaising with sub-contractors & suppliers
- Coordinating all deliveries to site
- Attending Construction meetings
- Overseeing OH&S & ensuring compliance is adhered to at all times
- Liaising with authorities
- Scheduling of works & providing forecasts
- Estimating of building materials for orders
- Maintaining a clean & organized site
About You

You will need to be highly organized and very proactive, bringing a passion for the industry and desire to be part of a quality focussed team. You will also have:
- An understanding of the building process and experience on building sites
- Ability to read plans
- Computer literacy and ability to work with basic spreadsheets and emails
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to influence & assist to drive subcontractors fairly & positively
You will be a strong communicator who is not afraid to take charge when required. As a team player, you share our values of respect and honesty and are eager to learn and grow within a company.
University/TAFE Graduates or those with Trade background in a construction related discipline are encouraged to apply.
