Business Development Manager

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager NSW/ACT - Trade, this role offers you an opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing organisation with a diverse range of home comfort products. Our product range includes stunning gas and electric fires, solar PV, air conditioning solutions with advanced smart controllers, and an extensive range of hot water units. You'll form part of a high performing sales team, in an exciting role where no two days are the same.

We are looking for an experienced person who can connect easily and build rapport with new and existing customers. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for sales, selling quality and innovative home comfort products. Your knack for delivering exceptional service and winning new business will see you jump right in and hit the ground running.

What does the role entail?

  • Build on already established relationships and become a respected business partner with your customers
  • Drive sales growth to achieve budgeted targets
  • Develop relationships with new customers to grow market share in Climate and Hot Water products
  • Develop strategies that ensure short and long-term growth across multiple product categories including Hot Water, Heating and Air Conditioning products
  • Provide product training to customers including trade sales teams, retails sales teams, plumbers, air conditioning contractors
  • Account management of trade and retail stores
  • Develop and implement business and key account management initiatives including setting goals for your area of accountability
  • Maintain regular call cycle activity, including regular regional travel

Who are we looking for?

  • Those with existing relationships in the Plumbing or Air Conditioning industries will be held in high regard but not essential
  • The ability to identify new business opportunities including cold calling on new businesses.
  • Proven success in changing habits
  • A positive and self-driven salesperson with goal focussed mentality
  • An excellent track record in not only meeting, but exceeding KPI's
  • Sound experience in all facets of account management and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced environment
