About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing & Events Manager, the Marketing & Events Assistant will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing events on a Friday (during term time), that align with our school needs. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will help ensure seamless event planning while supporting broader online marketing initiatives. Your efforts will foster famiy engagement, promote our school, and contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Administration support:
- Support the administration of market surveys to identified markets.
- Support the administration and creation of event materials.
- Support the administration, creation and distribution of the college newsletter.
- Support the promotion of school activities in the wider community as directed.
- Support media enquiries and media releases as directed.
- Create and share on college social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube and future opportunities.
- Ensure that branding on all content produced is consistent and current with the style guide.
- It is expected the Marketing & Events Assistant will assist the Principal and Marketing & Events Manager in any other duties as required from time to time.
Events:
- Liaise with key staff and community members to plan and organise major school events as directed.
- Support major school events and the organisers of these events to ensure the smooth execution as directed.
- Gather opportunities to record school activities and events photographically and on video by attending events, taking photos, and reporting accurately on those events in publications as directed.
- Support end-to-end school and community event requirements as directed.
Community Communications:
- Prepare community communications as directed by the Principal or Marketing & Events Manager.
- Communicate with all members of staff to identify opportunities to promote BDC as directed by the Marketing & Events Manager.
