Position:
This role is responsible for leadership, monitoring and delivery of direct care to achieve high outcomes for residents. Provide support to the clinical team within EN professional scope of practice.

This is a full time role, hence we are seeking someone who can commit at least 36 hr per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake clinical procedures as required within the scope of a EN as directed by the Registered Nurse/Shift Supervisor.
- Lead the team to provide effective and engaging lifestyle activities to improve resident engagement.
- Administer medications as required and within scope of practice.
- Maintain effective and efficient leadership of care workers for the direct delivery of care.
- Provide training in care techniques to care workers on an individual basis.
- Undertake employee skill assessments.
- Delivery of direct care to residents.
- Undertake and record resident observations as required under EN scope and Goodwin policies.
- Maintain appropriate communication with families, allied health and medical officers.
- Maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain best practice and self-education to maintain up to date with changes in legislation.
- Manage the ordering of medications and undertake regular audits, including pharmaceutical supplies audits.
- Maintain professional registration and advise Goodwin of any changes to registration.

Selection Criteria
Qualifications:
- Registration with AHPRA as a nurse and in possession of a current practicing certification.
Essential Skills:
- Strong leadership skills.
- Able to manage clinically and operationally with guidance from a RN/Deputy Director Of Nurse/Director Of Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of case management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the importance of good health and wellbeing for older people.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with people with cognitive impairments
- High level interpersonal communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
