As a Trainee Assets Officer, you'll:

  • Assist with the management of Council's buildings, parks, and other assets.
  • Help deliver maintenance and capital improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with volunteers and Section 355 committees to enhance community facilities.
  • Work on inspections, condition assessments, and project planning.
  • Learn to prepare quotes, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and Council policies.

We want someone who:

  • Is keen to start a rewarding career in local government.
  • Has basic PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and is eager to learn.
  • Communicates clearly and works well with others.
  • Is enthusiastic about contributing to community projects and asset management.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in construction or a trade.
  • Knowledge of sports or an interest in facilities like parks and sporting grounds.
