- Based in Alice Springs with frequent travel to communities in the MacDonnell Region
The MacDonnell region located in the centre of Australia, covers 270,000sq km and with an estimated population approaching 7,000. It has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.
As the Project Officer (PMO), you will be responsible for coordination and completion of an innovative and diverse project portfolio. In collaboration with the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) you will ensure timely delivery, effective budgeting, and cohesive alignment of projects within the needs of our communities. This position will demonstrate a high level of cultural, social, and political landscapes of remote indigenous communities as well as the commitment to Council goals and long-term strategic plans.
Our successful candidate will ideally hold a Tertiary level qualification in relevant field alongside industry knowledge. Proven experience working in diverse projects and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative approach to decision making and foster independence while performing in a complex environment.
