Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is a not-for-profit organisation seeking applications for the role of Trainee Educator at our Goulburn Early Childhood Service, located on the TAFE NSW Campus, Goulburn.

The Opportunity

As a Trainee Educator for Anglicare Early Years at our Goulburn Early Childhood Centre, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and delivery of high-quality educational play-based programs for children between birth and 5.

You will establish warm, nurturing relationships with each child and friendly, supportive relationships with their families while attending to children's learning and well-being throughout the day.

As a Trainee Educator, you be enrolled in Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through Anglicare College. You will receive mentoring and assistance from qualified teachers, including dedicated study time during work hours. As part of your traineeship, course fees are covered by Anglicare and any other training you may be required to participate in.

What's needed to succeed?

  • A strong interest in developing a career in educating, teaching and learning alongside young children.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team.
  • A focus on completing assessments to a high standard and ability to meet due dates.
  • Experience working in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
  • An awareness of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members,
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity, with a passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Commitment to Anglicare's mission and values of compassion, integrity, inclusiveness, and dignity.
