We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Laundry Assistant to join our dedicated team at Garden City Aged Care Services in Mt Gravatt.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and personal clothing items according to established protocols.
• Ensure all laundry is handled in a manner that maintains hygiene and prevents cross-contamination.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons.
• Monitor and manage laundry supplies, including detergents and fabric softeners, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that laundry needs are met in a timely manner.
• Adhere to safety and infection control standards at all times.
• Provide exceptional service and support to clients, maintaining their dignity and comfort.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role essential.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions and protocols.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude towards individuals living with dementia.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends if required.
