Community Support Assistant

Alzheimer's Queensland is a leading provider of community care services in Southeast Queensland. Our focus is on enhancing the quality of life for our clients and supporting them to remain at home and engaged in their local community.

We are seeking Community Support Assistants to provide a range of services to elderly clients, including social support, personal care, medication support, meal preparation, light domestic duties, and transportation. As a member of our team, you will focus on restorative and wellness approaches to support our clients' independence and engagement.

Your work as a Community Support Assistant will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We are looking for passionate individuals with experience in aged care or support work who possess attributes such as respect, confidentiality, understanding, and empathy. Respect for WHS procedures and legislation is also a must.

Alzheimer's Queensland strives to ensure stability for employees and familiarity for clients by making a conscious effort to provide consistent clients to our Community Support Assistants.

To be eligible for the role, you must possess a minimum Cert III qualification in Aged Care/Community Care/Individual Support (or equivalent qualifications), a current First Aid & CPR Certificate, a current Queensland Open Drivers Licence, a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance, and a Smart Phone. Availability across Monday to Friday and a National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain) are also required.
