The City is currently seeking a highly capable Leading Hand Wastewater to join our Water & Waste Services team. As a Leading Hand Wastewater, you will play a key role in the operation, repair, maintenance, installation, and construction of sewerage infrastructure to ensure that our community continues to live in a clean and healthy environment. The ideal candidate will be a kind and supportive mentor who fosters a constructive work environment for ground-level crew, and who can inspire the team with qualities like proactiveness, good time management, and a positive attitude.

As a member of a dynamic and positive team, you will have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge and technical abilities to sustain key assets in accordance with the City's objectives, levels of service, programs, standards, and procedures. This role will see the Leading Hand Wastewater engage with the community, participate in learning and development initiatives, support sustainability, and continuously improve our processes and operations.

About you?

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in construction, maintenance, repairs and operation of sewers and other relevant infrastructure including the laying of sewers and cutting in junctions.
  • Obtains relevant licences as outlined in the Position Description.
  • Committed to contributing to a positive work environment.

  • Starting salary from $60,524.14 + superannuation
  • Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
