Join our dynamic team as a Project Engineer (Design), where you will play a crucial role in shaping our community's infrastructure projects! In this position, you will provide essential engineering input to Council on a variety of projects, development referrals, and customer inquiries. Your expertise will ensure that all contributions align with best practices and uphold Council's values.
What a typical day will look like;
- Design road and drainage upgrades in Council's capital works program and preparing associated cost estimates
- Progress the design of road sealing projects funded under special charge schemes in consultation with property owners
- Liaise with the community in relation to road and drainage enquiries and developing solutions
- Provide engineering advice for planning permit applications and reviewing design plans for development
What you will bring to the role;
- Washington Accord accredited qualifications in civil engineering
- Experience in the design of road and drainage infrastructure, including competency in the use of AutoCad, Civil 3D and Civil Site Design
- Well-developed project management and communication skills
- A valid Victorian driver's licence
- Working with children check
